Mark Zuckerberg, born on 14^th May, 1984 in New York,   is an American CEO ,and co-founder of Facebook. . He founded facebook.com on 4^TH February,2004 while  he was studying at The Harvard University.  

Mark Zuckerberg created a directory for Harvard. This enabled his companions and other students, studying at Harvard to enter their own information and photos into a template. As the response was huge, his roommate Dustin Moskowitz helped him to add some features to facebook.com and helped him to make the site available to others too. The idea of Facebook came from the Philips Exeter Academy where he previously studied. They had their own student directory which was referred to as the Facebook. In no time this site, started growing popular among the users in USA and then expanded to the whole world.

  Facebook not only keep in touch with others but also create attractive profiles photos and videos too. Now Facebook had more than 2.6 billion active users which make it the most popular social networking site.

The success of Facebook turned Zuckerberg into a billionaire. He has been on the TIME magazine’s list of the 100 wealthiest people in the world in 2010, and also Forbes list of the world's most powerful people . He is one of the successful person in the world.

 He donated millions for causes including education and health. He also founded the Chan Zuckerberg’s initiative in 2015 and pleaded that he will donate 99% of the Facebook shares for various causes around the world and specially in the US. In 2013 , he donated US$1 billion to charity , making him the biggest charitable donor in the US. 

REMARKABLE SCHOOL DAYS

Born to Edward Zuckerberg and Karen Kempner . He studied at the Ardsley High School and the Philips Exeter Academy.  He was recognized as a promising student. While other children played video Games , young Mark designed them. He won prizes in maths, astronomy,  physics and classical studies. He was also fluent in different languages like French , Hebrew , Latin and Ancient Greek. He was the captain of the school fencing team.

Well, the preparation started from his early days , especially from his school days. His acquaintance with the computers were made . He was taught the Atari BASIC Programming by his tutor , David Newman , who told once that young mark was child prodigy.

Besides all those , he also designed computer programs and communication tools. He created a media player , which was a music player that used machine learning to learn the user’s good habit .

He also helped his father by designing “ZUCK NET” which helped in communication of all the computers between his house and his father’s dental office .

In this way , he paved his own path to become successful  since his childhood days . 

INNOVATIVE COLLEGE DAYS

Studied at Harvard University , he took psychology and computer science  . In these days , the idea of FACEMASH and FACEBOOK developed .

Facemash is considered to be the predecessor of Facebook . It was a fun program that enabled the students to select the best looking photo from a number of photos displayed. Later , the college had to shut it down declaring it improper .  

He also created a few programs like the “COURSEMATCH” enabling users to make decision on a class selection , based on choices of other students . This also helped to do group studies.

At the start of 2004 , he created Facebook which was initially for students at university .It helped them to communicate with each other through their accounts . All his programs were designed for the students at Harvard . But later due to the overwhelming response of  the Facebook platform , Mark had to drop out of college to focus on his project which was becoming successful and one of the largest social networking site . By 2004 , Facebook was known to have around one million users.

Since its launch in 2004, Facebook has taken the world by storm. It started as a social network for students in Howard University but it grew beyond the education sector to become a major communication tool in the world. 

Facebook help people create their own profiles and connect with others around the world for free. A successful communication tool, there were more than one billion messages sent in a day through the Facebook chat program as of 2009. Users can post their updates, express their views ,share and see pictures, videos, comment and even poke. It also helps people to form communities with common interests and fan pages. It offers privacy of users in strict terms to block accounts, set private friends list or make account private.

Within a few years of introduction, it became a platform of sharing news too . Almost all media organizations around the world use Facebook to update trending news.

In this way, it grew making it, Mark's turning point of life and a road towards success .
