INOVATIONS MADE TO REPLACE PLASTIC

Hello everyone.
Here's my first post. These are some of the inventions that are made out of waste products or recycled. We can use them in our day-to-day life to reduce use of plastics.

1. Old plastic bottles to LED bulb

How it works :
Plastic bottles filled with a solution of bleached water are installed into roofs  and began working as a mirror on the roof, refracting the light and offering a natural light bulb during the daytime
The 'Liter of Light Project' that uses this innovation, was launched to combat the rising cost of electricity in the Philippines.

2. Plastic free shampoo pods.

How it works :

These plastic free shampoo pods come in soluble film. They  aim to replace plastics in the bathroom with plant based, eco friendly products.
Each pod contains 5 milliliters of shampoo, and can wash hair of any length.

Benjamin Stern designed the pods at the age of 14.

3. The spincycle project.

How it works?

The SpinCycle project was designed as a tricycle with clothes washing arrangement at the back. It uses human power and a small amount of water.
It has a rota moulded wash drum and jerry cans, belt driven inner drums and a soap grater for use with blocks of detergent used in Africa.

4. Edible water blobs

How it works?

Edible water blobs help reduce plastic waste. The capsule is  biodegradable and is made from seaweed extracts.
The "Ooho" edible water as they are called, presents an innovative alternative solution to the classic plastic bottles and to mitigate container contamination.

5. Saltwater Brewery

How it works?

The saltwater Brewery is the first brewery of its kind that created edible packaging to save sea life. The six-pack rings are made of barley and wheat that can be safely consumed by sea life.
