ENDANGERED ANIMALS

  Endangered animals: Who's Responsible ?

"Each and every animal on Earth has as much right to be here as you and me"

Endangered animals are those species of animals that are about to extinct due to loss of their habitat and its population.According to a new estimate described by scientists as the most accurate ever, the natural word contains about 8.7 million species.

Animals such as Giant panda, Black Rhino,Orangutan,Hawksbill Turtle ,Asian Elephant,Blue Whale,Green Turtle,Ganges River Dolphin,Indian Elephant,Dugong,Whale Shark, etc. are at the line of extincion. If this doesn't stop then time will come when the future generations have to see those extinted animals only in pictures.

In the past there have been many endangered animals .Now they are extinct. Our environmenthas been affected adversely by their absence. The quality of our lives is changed. If we destroy the farmlands and the forests that is their only habitat, there is a delicate balance in nature. We humans have other alternatives to look for farmlands but the animals do not .

I have come up with few ideas to save these threatened species:

1.Get information about the species that went extinct or are about to extinct.Explain to your family and friends the importance of these animals in our surroundings.

2.Reduce,Reuse and Recycle to save rain forests. Minimize the use of non- biodegradable substances such as plastics. Buy recycled paper and sustainable products.

3.Stop purchasing products made from endangered species like ivory, coral, tortoise shell, animal skin, etc.

4.Install a small garden at your house with new varieties of flowering plants to attract birds and buttrflies to their natural habitat.

5. Volunteer your time to protect the wildlife in your area. Pressure your civil servants by writting letters to them about this awareness.

WOMEN'S STRUGGLE FOR THEIR RIGHTS!

The first wave of organized feminism-the fight for women's right appeared during the 1800s,and was concerned with legal rights and the right to vote. During the 1960s, a new wave of protest - the women's liberation movement appeared that made women's rights a global issue. By the 1990s, the women's movement had gained many victories and changed the society. Here we will enlist some of those movements and about those women who made this possible.   Early stage of the movement.  In the 18th century, women had no rights- they were the property of their husband or fathers. Inspired by the French Revolution, women began to challenge this situation. Mary Wollstonecraft(1759-97) In the 1792 an English woman, Mary Wollstonecraft, wrote Vindication of the Rights of Women. She deplored the fact that ...

INOVATIONS MADE TO REPLACE PLASTIC

Hello everyone. Here's my first post. These are some of the inventions that are made out of waste products or recycled. We can use them in our day-to-day life to reduce use of plastics. 1. Old plastic bottles to LED bulb     How it works : Plastic bottles filled with a solution of bleached water are installed into roofs  and began working as a mirror on the roof, refracting the light and offering a natural light bulb during the daytime The 'Liter of Light Project' that uses this innovation, was launched to combat the rising cost of electricity in the Philippines. 2. Plastic free shampoo pods.         How it works :  These plastic free shampoo pods come in soluble film. They  aim to replace plastics in the bathroom with plant based, eco friendly products.  Each pod contains 5 milliliters of shampoo, and can wash hair of any length. Benjamin Stern designed the pods at the age of 14. 3. The spincycle project. ...
